happy wednesday

- shane and i went to the RSL game last night. it was cold and rainy.
and they didn't advance in the tournament even though they played really well. dang it.
- ellen cracks me up.
- my newest obsession: mario cart for the wii.
- we have just become parents to 5 fishies: atticus, lola, mozy, neil, and houdini. and 1 frog: stewart.
 - i am beginning to enjoy having my fingernails painted all of the time.

- target is a black hole and always seems to take my money.
- greys anatomy and gossip girl are going to be the death of me.
- salt city candles. mmmmm!

shane and i are huge office fans. we've watched it from beginning to present episodes.
and it's just not the same without michael!

recovery

wisdom teeth suck. the end.

seriously though, not a fan. the past four days all i have been able to swallow down is jello, apple sauce, pudding, gogurts, chicken noodle soup, and mac and cheese. i mean, love those foods! but i miss REAL food! and i'm tired of my mouth aching in pain every time i try to talk or smile or laugh. stupid wisdom teeth. the frequent naps have been nice though, i will admit.

but anyway, this was just a post about me complaining. i apologize.
now i'm done and will move on.

looking forward to home town dates with miss emily tonight.
the hubs and i will be celebrating a year this weekend!
my mother and brother will be here in utah one week from today *gasp*
and the zoo is calling my name.

happy monday!

mushroom farmer is still in it

this is the most frustrating episode so far (for me) so i had to post about it.
sorry if you aren't a bachelorette fan.

can ryan's head get any bigger?! i don't think i can stand that guy for one more week.
and he best not be coming back to be the bachelor. oh em gee.
arie. i mean, come on...we all know he is the guy at the end.
i love jef, but what the heck was he wearing at the rose ceremony?!
we barely heard from kalon and it was rather nice.
alejandro got a rose. nate didn't. what the heck.
this is shaping up to be a very interesting season.

the junk

shane and i both had the junk this past week which was not very fun.
this was our view the entire weekend.

we were on our air mattress in front of the tv sick.
it was rather nice being able to just be lazy all weekend together
AND
we were able to discover this awesome tv show: once upon a time!
love it.

now it's monday which means back to work.
for me anyway, shane still has a few days left to recover before he goes back to work.

friday letters.

dear shane- i'm not a fan of you being gone during the weeks up on the mountain working. going to bed alone sucks. and i have realized that i can't keep myself entertained like you do.

dear weekend- please be a good one! i'm ready for a work free enjoyable sunny break.

dear ben and jerry's red velvet- thank you for being the comfort food of this week.

dear little red- the hubs and i JUST cleaned you monday...could you please stay clean for a least one day?!

dear laundry- i need a break.

dear tv shows- i don't understand why you must create a dramatic make-me-want-to-scream-and-pull-out-my-hair finale for the summer. you kill me every time.

dear summertime- i am so ready for you!

it's time to say goodbye to an era

as the years have gone on, they have grown up and so have i.

i was eleven years old when one tree hill aired it's first episode in 2003. i was hooked instantly and have been a dedicated viewer ever sense watching every tuesday, wednesday, or thursday it was on (it changed a few times). the show gave me a place i could turn to...to live vicariously through brooke, peyton, and hailey's boy troubles, the hate then love brother relationship between lucas and nathan, and the friendships and bonds each one of them created along the way. they were in a way "my friends"...yes i get a little too attached to the characters of tv shows. and after they announced that this ninth season would be the last it was hard to wrap my head around because for as long as i could remember they were there. through the heartbreak, friendships, car wrecks, births, dealths, psycho-stalkers, weddings, shootouts, and so much more...it was a crazy awesome show!

tonight was the end and i would be lying if i said i didn't let a tear or two fall. i couldn't have asked for a better finale for one of the best shows, in my opinion. to see quinn and clay become husband and wife and start a family with logan. brooke raising her family in the house she loved and grew up in. mouth becoming a sports broadcaster, creating the scott edwards scholarship in honor of jimmy and keith, and starting a family with millie. nathan raising his own son and having him play sports for himself, not for anybody else. seeing everyone gathered together at karen's cafe and then again as the ending scene of a raven's basketball game to cheer jamie on.

thank you one tree hill for being a part of my life for so long and in a way being my friend. you better believe i will be buying each season on dvd so i can relive the memories over and over :)

"Make a wish and place it in your heart. Anything you want, everything you want. Do you have it? Good. Now believe it can come true. You never know where the next miracle is gonna come from, the next smile, the next wish come true. But if you believe that it's right around the corner, and you open your heart and mind to the possibility of it, to the certainty of it. You just might get the thing you're wishing for. The world is full of magic. You just have to believe in it. So make your wish. Do you have it? Good. Now believe in it. With all your heart." – Brooke Davis, Julian Baker, Haley Scott, Nathan Scott, Clay Evans, Quinn James, Mouth McFadden, Millicent Huxtable, Chase Adams, Chris Keller

tv/movie addicted fish!

so, last night shane and i wanted to watch a movie from the internet. we hooked up the laptop to the tv (bigger screen) and discovered that once the movie had started that turbo and langston (if you don’t know who they are…look back on the past quite a few posts) were staring intently at the laptop screen. ladies and gentlemen…our fish love watching tv/movies! they watched the entire time until the credits were over at the end.

those crazy fish!
