adios two thousand and twelve.

we were very blessed this year. shane and i were able to see both of our families quite a bit, enjoyed a few weddings of our friends, went paint balling this summer at our large family reunion, explored in hawaii with my grandparents, met three RSL players while at seven peaks (which was way exciting), moved into our new home, had many pet fishies, made it through a few more semesters of school, and had many adventures as mr. and mrs! i am looking forward to seeing what 2013 will hold for us!

a texas christmas

 around 1:00 pm it was time to open presents...

 (i think the books my sister and i made were a success!)

nick and shane had a blast shooting nick's bow and arrow

  and we actually ended up having a very snowy white christmas in texas after all!

who would have thought!

 but we finally got one!

 while we were in texas we were able to surprise these lovely ladies with a visit!

 it was so nice to see the wilson crew!

and shane and i were also able to see this beautiful woman go through the temple to prepare for her mission! it was a wonderful experience!

over all it was a fantastic christmas break even with the unexpected snow. full of games, friends, laughter, tons of driving, home made meals, high school state game at the cowboys stadium!, family time, and many memories! cant wait to visit again...i miss it already.

watching a dear friend take her final steps to prepare for her mission

abby and i met at a bridal fair right after shane and i got engaged and we just clicked.
she did all of our pictures; engagements, bridals, and wedding day. she's amazing!

- shane and i went to the RSL game last night. it was cold and rainy. 

and they didn't advance in the tournament even though they played really well. dang it.

- ellen cracks me up.

- my newest obsession: mario cart for the wii.

- we have just become parents to 5 fishies: atticus, lola, mozy, neil, and houdini. and 1 frog: stewart.

 - i am beginning to enjoy having my fingernails painted all of the time.

- target is a black hole and always seems to take my money.

- greys anatomy and gossip girl are going to be the death of me.

- salt city candles. mmmmm!

it's getting festive around here

 dear pumpkin spice candle- thank you for making the house smell wonderful and cozy like. 

dear dishes- i wish you would stop piling up. now that we don't have a dishwasher i hate you even more.

dear jef and emily- why did you have to break up?! this devastates me more than it really should. 

dear shane-  you have been working so hard lately. on the mountain, in school, around the house. you are amazing and i am convinced there is nothing you can not do! 

dear fall- thank you for gracing us with your presence! you are making me rather giddy about
thanksgiving (33 days!) and christmas (66 days!)

dear greys anatomy- i don't even know what to do with you anymore.

number twenty-one

that's right! the big two one happened on sunday and it was a fantastic day!
shane made sure it was a great one by decorating the house, making dinner, inviting family over, and baking the cake! phone calls from family and facebook/text wishes from friends made the day even better. i am so blessed with all the people in my life that love me!

visits

it's been awhile. sorry about that.

my grandparents came up to visit us for about a week and a half and we had a blast!

it was full of shopping, guns, birthdays, dinners, driving, mountain adventures, ax throwing, chaos, more guns, games, and family visits. 

we can't wait to party with these guys again in december :)
